I hope you all had a wonderful Thanksgiving holiday. I can't believe it's been a year since I last wrote. So much
has happened this year.
Briana has been taking dance lessons for the past year and had her first dance recital in June of this year. I
almost thought she wasn't going to dance because she started to get very clingy and didn't want me to leave or
be out of her sight! I took her to see a counselor because she's been through so much and I didn't know how
she had been taking things for the past year. Well, she only went once and then something inside of her just
clicked and she wasn't as clingy anymore. She got on stage right away in front of so many people and danced!
Since then, she's grown up so much.
In the meantime, Alonzo and I have been working very hard on getting a house. We were somewhat looking, but
then a close friend offered to sell his house to us and we jumped on it and it's ours now! It's kinda scary, but
we'll manage. Just as we were renovating the house, I found out that I am pregnant! This was in September
that we found out. We had been trying for a couple of months, but nothing happened and then just as we took
our minds off of trying to get pregnant and focused on closing on our house, that when it happened!
I was so excited when I found out and I told Alonzo right away. He was happy too, then we started to get
emotional. Mostly because of Natalie. It's different and scary going into all of this. My due date is May 9th and
we will find out next week if we will be having a boy or a girl. It's all very exciting. I'm a little nervous about our
first ultrasound because that's when we found out about Natalie possible having a problem. In my heart, I know
that everything will be fine. Briana is also very excited. She loves my new belly. She asks me everyday, "is your
belly getting bigger......can we go to the doctor to take out the baby?" She can't wait to find out if she's having a
baby brother, or a baby princess....she thinks it's a brother and I hope so too!
I got an email from the tech. that took care of Natalie while she was in the hospital and he submitted the poem
he wrote about her to the Chicken Soup for the Soul for Nurses. I hope it is published, so please keep your
fingers crossed for him! The poem is entitled, Another Balloon Floats Free and is on the previous page or can
click on the link, if you'd like to read it. It is absolutely beautiful and I can't thank you enough Garry, for writing
that. It means a lot to me.
Anyway I'm not sure how often this site gets viewed, but for all those who still visit from time to time, I'll keep it
updated. It's hard to imagine that Natalie's 2nd birthday will be next month. I know she's watching over us all.
I am so thankful for my husband and to have been blessed with two beautiful girls and another baby on the way.
I couldn't have asked for more. I love my family and thank them for everything!
